Summary: I booked a customized 5 day Naadam and countryside tour with Tour Mongolia, and it was really great. Everything I wanted to see was included, and the communication by email with Shinee before the trip was excellent – quick replies and detailed planning, which was the reason I chose them. The national day celebration, Naadam, was a highlight in itself: the opening ceremony with a great view of the arena, and tickets by the finish line at for the traditional horse races out on the steppe. Later we continued into the countryside, through the so‑called Mini Gobi at Elsen Tasarkhai, and stayed in a ger camp with a nomadic family far out on the steppe – a very genuine experience surrounded by herds of horses. We also explored the Orkhon Valley with its waterfall and canyon, the temples in Karakorum and stopped at villages and a hilltop monastery along the way. And an Ulaanbaatar city tour. Special thanks to my guide, Unu: She was kind, attentive and extremely knowledgeable, with excellent English and broad international experience. She made the whole journey even more memorable. I've travelled to more than 100 countries, and I think she is my best guide ever. I highly recommend Tour Mongolia for anyone wanting to experience Mongolia in depth.

Summary: The best part of this tour is staying with nomad families in ger sharing their meal and talking about their simple but hard life. It's amazing that they keep their lifestyle alive.
